Franck Muller Introduces the FM 3200 - 3210 Calibre
After a relatively short time compared to the average taken to create a calibre, the Franck Muller Watchland engineers and master watchmakers are presenting their first chronograph entirely designed and manufactured within the Group. The FM 3200 and FM 3210 calibres, works of great mechanical refinement, were designed in the traditional manner, i.e. with a winding system which is entirely hidden between the bridges and plates. This aesthetic approach is maintained in the hand finish. The chronograph, equipped with a mechanism comprising a column wheel and a particularly reliable and simple original vertical clutch coupling, measures events with a precision of 1/6th of a second thanks to a sprung balance oscillating at 21,600 vibrations per hour. It also has a fly-back function which allows for resetting of the counters and the restarting of the measurement cycle at any time. A snap date mechanism and a small second hand at 9 o'clock are also built-in.
Displays and Functions
The movement allows for the traditional display of the hours and minutes, and there is a small second hand at 9 o'clock and the date at 6 o'clock. The chronograph has a central second hand and a 30-minute counter at 3 o'clock. The push-button located at 2 o'clock serves to start and stop the chronograph. The push-button located at 4 o'clock operates the reset and fly-back function. The winding-crown has 3 positions to allow for rapid date correction.
