Franck Muller adds a new hue to the dials colour palette

Franck Muller dials distinguish themselves through their elongated numerals and through their refined decoration. Up to 20 layers of lacquer for a total thickness of 0.10 mm can cover a sun-burst dial of the Geneva-based House. As a matter of fact, the Franck Muller brand was a pioneer in the use of bold colours for its dials.

This year, the designers of the Franck Muller House drew their inspiration from the warm and enticing tones of chocolate for a new dial colour.

In the Western culture, brown is associated with nature, earthliness and warmth and has welcoming and sensuous qualities.

The matt chocolate brown dial is first sun-stamped, and then a galvanic colour is applied. A layer of paint and one of transparent protection follow. The numerals, previously stamped, are mirror-polished and then rhodium- or gold-plated.

Chocolate brown is « the new black » and looks terrific with diamonds. The new dial is proposed in the following collections: Cintrée Curvex, Long Island, Master Square, Conquistador and Conquistador Cortez. A special version in translucent lacquer is available only for the 8880 SC DT model.
